Terms of service.
One thing we've found over the years is that the more policies we have, the better everything goes, and the less that is left to the unknown. Before booking, please read over our policies and feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Home Preparedness
Clients will prepare their home for cleaning services by ensuring that floors, counters and tables are picked up of clutter in order for us to provide services. This includes, but is not limited to, laundry, trash, excessive piles of paper, children's toys, and dishes.
Any area with excess items will not be moved to be cleaned in order to ensure that the client's belongings are not misplaced or lost. Common areas being nightstands, dressers, closet floors, dining room tables and mud rooms.
Kithcen sinks will be cleaned if the sink is free of dishes.
Cancellations
Any client that cancels within 24 hours of the scheduled clean without rescheduling will be charged their full cleaning fee.
If a client cancels within 24 hours for two scheduled cleans in a row, future services will not be provided.
Cancellations without rescheduling must be made a minnimum of one week in advance. Failure to do so will result in a 50% of the cleaning cost cancellation fee.
Payments
Payment will be made vis check, an approved payment card, or by any other payment method determined by Details. Checks should be made to Details, The Cleaning Company. Payment is due the day of service and upon arrival to the home.
Regardless of payment preference, a card is required to be on file in case that cancellation or late fees need to be charged.
If paying by card, Details will invoice the client after completion of services, unless otherwise discussed. Clients must pay the invoice(s) within 48 hours. Unpaid or overdue invoices may result in suspension or termination of the services. A $10 late fee will be assessed on any invoices paid after 48 hours.

Home Preparedness
Homes must be prepared by ensuring that floors, counters, tables and furniture are picked up of clutter in order for the us to provide services.
This includes all laundry picked up off of floors, beds and furniture. Loose trash will be removed from surfaces (water bottles, empty chip bags, item packaging, Amazon boxes, etc.).
Dishes need to be removed from the kitchen sink and counters.
Areas that have highly valuable/breakable items will not be moved to be cleaned under unless otherwise discussed (i.e. China displays, LEGO builds).
Any area with excess items will not be moved to be cleaned in order to ensure the Client's belongings are not misplaced, lost or broken. Typical problem areas being night stands, dressers and mail counters.
The Client will also provide an empty trash bag in the trash can prior to arrival.
If the washer and dryer are left empty, we will wash bathroom and kitchen rugs that are able to be laundered. If the washer and dryer is not left empty, the rugs will not be washed
Cancellations
Any client that cancels within 24 hours of the deep clean and does not reschedule will be charged the entire cleaning fee.
If the Client cancels within 24 hours but reschedules, a minimum fee of $150 is assessed.
Any client that cancels within 7 days of the scheduled deep clean and does not reschedule, will be subject to a charge of 20% of their cleaning fee.
Any client that cancels within 7 days of the scheduled deep clean and reschedules, will not be charged a fee.
There will be no cancellation fee for cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled deep clean
Payments

Price Discrepancy
The price for services quoted to the client is based on the information that was provided. If upon initial walk through of the home and the home was not bid correctly causing the price to increase, a discussion between the staff in charge and the client will take place. The Owner will receive a verbal or written consent in order to approve an increase in the charge or to modify the services to fit within the price originally quoted.
Before and After Photos
Details will take before and after pictures of the areas cleaned. Pictures will all be up close with no identifying items/names in them. The pictures will shared with the Client after service. Details may also use photos in various social media marketing and website.
Refunds
The Customer will be assumed to have accepted the services unconditionally unless a claim that the service was not completed is made within 24 hours from the date of service. At that point, partial refunds can be discussed between the Customer and the Business but are not guaranteed. A second visit to the home will be the first option to remedy any discrepancies. If the complaint is a result of the home not being adequately prepared, no refund will be issued.

The following services are included in a deep clean unless otherwise discussed:
-Front and tops of kitchen cabinets
-Lining of tops of kitchen cabinets
-Kitchen backsplash
-Inside/top/underside of microwave hood (when applicable)
-Hood vent filters
-Inside/outside of oven
-Degreasing of oven racks
-Exterior of refrigerator (interior available with additional charge)
-Exterior of dishwasher and other large appliances (ice maker, trash compactor, etc.)
-Fridge drip tray (when applicable)
-Kitchen faucet/sprayer descaling
-Kitchen sink cleaning/conditioning
-Shining faucets
-Countertops
-Light fixtures
-Ceiling fans
-Window sills
-Light switches
-Outlets
-High traffic walls/doors for handprints
-Return/Supply vents
-Front and back glass doors/sliding doors
-Heavy dusting (wall hangings/furniture/entertainment centers/etc)
-Shower/tub walls/top rail
-Shower/tub faucet
-Shower doors/tracks
-Toilet
-Vanity light
-Mirrors
-Bathroom faucet/sink/countertop
-Exhaust fans
-Baseboards (based on accessability)
-Vacuuming
-Mopping
Additional Services
The following services are not included in a standard deep clean but are available for additional charge:
-Interior of refrigerators/freezers
-Interior of dishwasher
-Interior of cabinets
-Small appliances (toasters, toaster oven, coffee maker)
-Windows
-Blinds
-Floor tile grout scrubbing
-Full wipe down of walls
Services Not Included
The following tasks we do not complete due to the liability involved:
-Ceiling fans and light fixtures on ceilings above 10 feet (unless ladder is supplied)
-Tops of kitchen cabinets that are inaccessible from the countertop
-Exposed ceiling beams
-Moving of large furniture (couches, recliners, dining room tables, etc.)
-Moving out of appliances (refridgerator, dishwasher, stove, etc)
-Exterior of windows
Gratuity
Gratuity to the staff is not required. If the Client chooses to tip the staff it can be given on the day of service or added to the invoice when paying with a credit card.
Why do we have these specific policies? After dealing with hundreds of people over the years, each of these poilicies were created after some sort of interaction in which we needed these clearly in place. Policies are subject to change as needed.
Details is registered with the Iowa and Nebraska Secretary of State. We hold liabilty insurance as well as being bonded.
